Beachside Café Policies

Reservation Policy

Beach Side Café accepts reservations by phone at 340-772-1266 or online. Reservations cannot be accepted by
leaving a voicemail. If necessary, please leave your name, contact number, and time of call. A representative will
contact you to take your reservation. Reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance or up to 24 hours prior to
your desired dining time. Our seating capacity is limited to 50 people at any given time.

Please Note: We are accepting online reservations for up to 8 guests. Please call 340-772-1266 for parties of 9 or
more.

In order to accommodate other guests, your dining experience is limited to 1 hour 30 minutes for parties of up to 2;
2 hours for parties of up to 6; and 2 hours thirty minutes for parties of 7-12.

Please note, reserved tables will only be held for 15 minutes after the reservation time requested.

Seating

Dining is available in the main dining room, terrace, or on the beach depending on the number of persons in the
reservation party. Specific placement in the restaurant cannot be guaranteed.

We require that all members of your party be ready to be seated at the specified time of your reservation. We will
not seat your party until all members are present and ready to order.

Please notify the restaurant (340-772-1266) if you are delayed, to avoid losing your reserved table. Late reservations
of 15 minutes or more will be released and re-accommodated as soon as possible but cannot be guaranteed.

Group Reservations

Due to the limited capacities, we request a credit card to hold all reservations. In the event the reservation is
cancelled less than 24 hours before the reservation time, or if all or some of the guests reserved for the party do not
arrive or arrive later than 15 minutes after your chosen reservation time, the card on file will be charged $10 per
person.

The cancellation charge is $10 per person for no-shows, or cancellations with less than a 24 hour notice prior to the
reservation time. Any reservations of 10 or more will require 48 hour notice.

Toes-in-the-Sand Dining (Dining on the Beach)

Because availability is limited, please call 340-772-1266 to reserve “Toes-in-the-Sand Dining” (dining on the beach).
A $10 per person set-up fee with a maximum of 10 people and 24 hours advance notice is required. A 20% service
charge will be added. A credit card authorization is also required for beach dining. Please note Toes-in-the-Sand
Dining is weather permitting.

Preferred Waterfront Tables

We consider it our job to spoil you; however, due to the large number of requests and being an open-air facility, we
cannot guarantee preferred waterfront seating. Fortunately, we are an open-air restaurant that allows all tables to
see the beautiful Caribbean Sea views.

Cancellations and Changes

If canceling, requesting a change in number of guests or a change of time, please contact the restaurant at least 2
hours in advance at 340-772-1266.

Payments

We accept cash and most major credit cards. We do accept personal checks or American Express.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer room charges for hotel guests.

Dietary Requirements

If you have special dietary requirements, please contact us directly to discuss them. We will do our best to
accommodate them with advance notice.

Pet Policy

As much as we love our pets, no animals are permitted unless they are properly credentialed as a service animal.

The Americans with Disabilities Act permits hotel and restaurant guests to bring properly trained service animals
onto the property. Comfort and companion animals are no longer considered service animals, described under Title 3
of the ADA as “performing specific tasks directly related to the owner’s disability” – seeing eye dogs, assisting the
hearing impaired, etc. and the animal must be properly restrained by leash or harness unless such restraint impedes
the services of the animal. Under the law, employees are permitted to ask if an animal is a service animal and what
specific tasks it performs for the owner. We welcome comfort animals at the resort with proper documentation
from a mental healthcare provider. In order to receive service at our hotel and restaurant with a comfort animal,
we kindly ask that such documentation be provided to the front office. All service and comfort animals must wear
an identifying vest or tags.

Parking

Self-parking on hotel and café premises is free. The hotel does not accept responsibility for damages to, or theft
from, vehicles parked on the premises.

Service Charges

An 18% service charge will be added to parties of 5 or more. A 20% service charge for beach dining and room service
will be added. Service charges are calculated on the final food and beverage total. A corkage fee of $15 per 750ml
bottle of outside wine will be added, as well as a $20 cake fee for outside desserts brought to the restaurant.

Conduct

Beach Side Café’s dress code is smart casual. Please cover up appropriately (shirt and/or cover-up required) before
entering the restaurant or other public areas of the hotel.

To ensure the tranquil experience of our resort, guests are expected to behave in a manner not disturbing to other
guests or hotel and restaurant staff. Persons in an intoxicated or disorderly state, who are in violation of the posted
smoking policy, cause the destruction of, or threaten to destroy hotel or restaurant property, cause a public
disturbance, refuse to (or are unable) to pay for goods or services will be removed from the premises.

Sand Castle on the Beach and Beach Side Café does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sexual orientation,
national origin, gender, or gender identity. Personal behavior is the only cause for removal from the hotel or
restaurant and will be done so while reserving the right to withhold any payments already made. Guests are obliged
to comply with set rules, policy signage displayed on the grounds, and oral recommendations of hotel and restaurant
staff who, at all times, reserve the right to judge the acceptable level of noise and the behavior of guests, including
cell phones and speakers.

Complaints should be made a manager or owner in a timely manner so that corrective action may be taken.

Hotel Day Passes

We appreciate you dining with us at Beach Side Café. Please be aware that patronizing the café does not give
privileges to the hotel’s amenities. Based on availability, Day Passes can be purchased at the front desk of the hotel.

COVID-19 Requirements

Masks must be worn at all times unless seated at a table. As mandated by the Governor of the USVI, no one is
allowed to stand at or order from the bar. You must be seated to place an order with a server or bartender.

Hours of Operation

  • Lunch reservations can be made for seatings between 11:00am and 2:45pm.
  • Dinner reservations can be made for seatings between 4:00pm and 8:00pm.
  • Weekend brunch reservations can be made for seatings between 10:00am and 2:30pm.
