We enjoyed a day-pass at Sand Castle on the Beach, allowing for beach chairs, pool, and restaurant. Shout out to Brad, Maria and Dunya who made us feel welcome and provided us with excellent sea-side service. Sand Castle on the Beach is a very clean, very well run waterfront gem with terrific beach and sea access. -read moreread less -

Thank you, Sand Castle on the Beach, for an outstanding trip. We will always remember the epic sandy-beach location, stunning sunsets, and tasty food & drinks. We also really appreciated that there is no competition for sun loungers with beautiful views; there was more than enough chairs to go around, and every spot had view right on water. But mostly we will remember the kindness and warmth extended to us by all of the lovely staff and Chris & Ted. -read moreread less -

Fabulous hotel right on the beach in Fredricksted in St. Croix. My best friend and I booked a week stay here and couldn't have been happier. All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially Josh at the front desk was super welcoming upon our arrival. We stayed in 402, on the opposite side of the street from the main building and loved it! There was a pool 2 steps from our room in a cute little courtyard that felt very private. The room was perfect, nicely decorated, very clean and had a stove/oven, sink and fridge with freezer, plates, cookware and even a little cooler that we could take on beach excursions! The restaurant had delicious food, and was only steps away from the ocean. The owners, Chris & Ted, recognized us as new guests the day we arrived and immediately welcomed us to their oasis. What a breath of fresh air to be able to stay at such a beautiful place with such amazing people!!!!! -read moreread less -

My best friend and I booked a room here for a week. There were no available rooms with 2 beds, so we booked a room with a full sized bed and a pull out couch. Upon arrival, Josh checked us in, he was super friendly and extremely nice. Our room was very cute and they had made up the pull out couch so we each had a bed. It made the room feel a bit small, but worked for us. The room was cute, clean, nicely decorated, had a fridge, oven/stove, sink and utensils as well as pots/pans for cooking. There was even a small cooler that you could use for outings on the island!!! We froze small water bottles to use as ice packs and it was perfect!
Our room was steps from a pool in a cute little courtyard. The main hotel was across the street (not at all busy). The restaurant and another pool were beachside, offering a perfect mix for maximum relaxation and sun/shade options. All of the staff were extremely nice and friendly. This is an adult only, gay friendly hotel, which we were not aware of when booking. They are open and inclusive to everyone, and all of the staff made us feel extremely welcome. Chris & Ted, the owners, immediately recognized us as new guests and welcomed us to the hotel. It was so nice to have the owners so in tune to their guests, you can really tell how much pride they take in the property. It was such a breath of fresh air and we would definitely stay here again!!!!! -read moreread less -

Amazing customer service with all staff and owners were on the location and helping staff and introducing themselves to the guests.
You felt the family community with the staff and all the repeat customers also had great advice and what to do and see.
Amenities included continental breakfasts daily, Beach service for drinks and food along with beach towel service. Floats and snorkel gear provided.
Rooms where good size and very clean facility with reasonably good rates for this island. -read moreread less -

Sandcastle on the beach is a must due in St. Croix. They offer daily passes with a wonderful amenities if you're not staying there. The restaurant is not my favorite, but their Thanksgiving buffet was delicious and served directly by the owners which I thought was special. We've been several times and it's always a treat. -read moreread less -

Well, once again Beach Side Cafe did not disappoint. We eat here often and have never had a bad meal. It’s been exceptionally great. Tonight they served their Christmas Buffet and of course they did not disappoint. The food was plenty and absolutely fabulous.
The server was attentive, the hostess came over often to check on us. To top it off, the owners Ted and Chris went to every table to wish us all a Merry Christmas, and to ensure we were pleased with our meal.
We highly recommend Beach Side Cafe.

We spent a year planning this trip, as my husband and I had been dreaming of going for years. We finally did and we were not disappointed. The accommodation was better than you could ever expect. The service was top notch. Excellent food and drinks. The host/owners Chris & Ted are extremely detailed and take care of their guest like family. We give the whole experience our highest praise and recommendation. Do yourself a favor and book a stay soon, you will not regret it! -read moreread less -

Sand Castle in St. Croix is by far the best resort we have visited in the Caribbean. Small resort on a beautiful ocean beach with laid back vibes & impeccable customer service. Everyone is friendly. No kids. Great for couples and friends. Nice clothing optional area with its own private pool. Also very welcoming to LGBTQ guests as well, Just made reservations for 2027. You can rent a car, or very good taxi service is available. A true jewel in the Caribbean. -read moreread less -

Beautiful resort, # 1 on the island. I loved my stay here at Sand Castle. We had our wedding here on the beach, thanks to Andre for exceptional service from beginning to end. Our dream wedding came out just as I imagined. The food at the cafe is delicious, the view is breath taking! All the amenities the resort offers. Best place to stay, we can not wait to come back! -read moreread less -

We had the best time -- doing nothing at Sandcastle! The room was great (301) right off the beach. The bed was comfy (not the sofa bed couch tho) and the room was really nice. There was cleaning service every day and a fully appointed kitchen if you felt like cooking (a definite NO!) We had lots of sunlight and an outdoor shower in the back. Couldn't ask for more! There were lounge chairs, beach towels and a patio set provided and the bar sent service around if you wanted it. (Not that the bar was far!) Everyone was super nice and really wanted us to have a great vacation. We certainly did! In fact, we rebooked for next year! -read moreread less -

So I wrote a review here - forgive me if this is a repeat I logged in as a gmail user not my tripadvisor account.
In any case. Sand Castle is in "top 5" on my St. Croix trip. The trip was scuba oriented [fantastic!] but thanks to my ears letting me down, I had to skip the pier dive on 6 Mar 2026 with my scuba buddy. I was looking for a day trip pass with the hope that I would not feel like I was 'missing out'. Sand Castle is IT! If you are looking at this, debating on a day pass trip - don't hesitate - get down to Sand Castle. Stat.
The entire vibe is St Croix but upscale and also not pretentious. As a resident of a resort/second hometown, I understand that this is a super difficult bar to hit. It's an almost impossible balance. So 'kudos' to you, Sand Castle! Seriously. Just wonderful clean, zen, happy and friendly vibes. Excellent food and drinks. From the front desk to the beach staff to the cafe staff to the owners [and I think I encountered both] - impeccable.
Frankly, I was also impressed by the *guests*. So super helpful. Beach etiquette is on point here. Low key phones, if at all. Groups having fun but not "over-louding" other guests. I was all by myself and having a lovely time but if I made eye contact, the attitudes are receptive and friendly but not overbearing. I may have visited on a 'weird day' but and this may be a odd thing to comment on but, in all seriousness, the ability to have a consistently NICE but also fun time alone is just awesome. Maybe I shouldn't mention it at all - but as a solo guest it sometimes still gives me pause and I feel like it's important to speak to other potential solo female guests. Do it. Without being invasive, it is obvious that other guests AND staff are watching out. I left my beach bag and stuff on my chair for over an hour without wondering if it was going elsewhere [without me lol]. I'm not suggesting that you do so but I WILL say that it is rare I feel safe enough to do it and I did here [I would have only lost a reader tablet for any kind of value]. Just saying.
The cafe is wonderful and I was there twice in one day. Once alone and once when my dive buddy was finished with his dive. The mahi sandwich special was excellent - and when my dive buddy [46 m] was finished with his dive and no breakfast, it was more than enough for him [they served a big batch of fries with it - excellent]. Staff is so so attentive - and Chris was the server helping me both times. Also - EXCELLENT. I'd be remiss if I did not mention the hostess who was also lovely whose name I did not catch.
I can't say enough good about Sand Castle. I would stay here alone or as a couple without hesitation. Immaculate grounds. [we had a house on this trip for scuba reasons]
Big thanks to all of you at Sand Castle; you really have something special and I enjoyed it immensely! I can NOT wait to come back!!! xo -read moreread less -

A hidden gem! There were so many good reviews I was suspicious but they're all true! Our room was an adorable beach cottage with a welcome drink ready.
Everything is very clean and well kept. The beach is absolutely gorgeous with perfect sunsets. You can snorkel right there and see a bunch of cool fish. There's also 2 beautiful pools
The food at their restaurant was top notch and the drinks on point.
The owners walk around chatting with everyone and the staff were great too. It felt like visiting old friends.
We've been to many resorts but this one is different, it's a very special place. -read moreread less -

We visited this place in November 2025 for the day off a cruise ship , a short taxi ride was $10 per person one way, when you return, you can go to the front desk and they will hand you taxi #’s to schedule return, we used the same person Darwin , the resort offers a day pass of $40 pp. that includes a drink, Wi-Fi, two loungers and an umbrella, the resort is very nice. It does have a small pool but sufficient, also there is a small beach front, but you can walk both sides up & down, ( posted photos ) the ocean was a little choppy this day, but there was room to go into the ocean in some areas, but it was difficult with the waves and the rocks in the area, our waitress was very nice. The place does get pretty crowded with cruise ship people, so make sure you go early enough and order your food and drink early enough, because it could take some time. -read moreread less
